Baby Are You Happy With Just Food and Sex?

In my search for military wisdom I had joined a few support groups, and when a topic of "interest" pops up I lose no time and discuss it with my Marine.

So when I saw a post where a woman said men are happy with nothing but food and sex and a man came in and backed her up I couldn't stop but ask myself:

Is my man happy with just food and sex?

Abraham Maslow was an American Phycologist that developed the Hierarchy of Needs theory which remains valid today for understanding human motivation.  Each of us is motivated by needs. Our most basic needs are inborn, having evolved over tens of thousands of years. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs states that we must satisfy each need in turn, starting with the first, which deals with the most obvious needs for survival itself.  Only when the lower order needs of physical and emotional well-being are satisfied are we concerned with the higher order needs of influence and personal development.  This is represented in a pyramid, being the first one (most basic) the Biological and Philological needs which include air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep, etc.  This leads me to a thought: haven't our military men evolve any further than this primary and basic necessity? can they live happily ever after if one just feed them and sex them?

This brought to my mind a lot of questions, I thought I gave my man more than that, I thought my presence meant more for him, come on, I wanted to be higher in his pyramid.

Are we living with cavemen in survival mode, who's only needs are hunting, harvesting and reproduce? It was the time to ask this apparently revealing question to my Marine: are you happy with just food and sex? "No, I need more than that".

Thank you baby Jesus!

My fear of being just a "thing" for him was nothing more than a fear.  As usual, in a relation with a military member, we couldn't continue talking at that moment.  But I was decided to make it a topic to discuss later on...Then, what do you need me for? "I want a companion, someone that cares beyond.  Someone that motivates me and care for my wellbeing".

With his answer I can't prove anything regarding men, but I can prove that at least mine has evolved in the pyramid.  It wasn't a right there answer, he took his time and really thought about it, but the fact that he knew food and sex wasn't enough from the beginning was already a good answer.
